Filipino Advocacy and Outreach for Health Project
 
 
MEN AND WOMEN NEEDED FOR FILIPINO HEALTH SURVEY
 
This is a 2-year project sponsored by Asian Health Services and Filipinos for
Affirmative Action (FAA), a civil rights advocacy group, to assess the most pressing
health problems facing the Filipino community in Union City and identify barriers to
accessing appropriate medical care.
 
The study makes use of a survey that asks about your general health, as well as concerns
or issues in access to healthcare. The survey will be self-administered or conducted
in the formof in-person or telephone interviews and would last about 30 minutes.

In order to participate you need to be:
   • Filipino
   • At least 18 years old
   • From Union City

 

There are several ways to take the survey:
   • Self-administered
   • Phone interview
   • In-person interview

 

Benefits:
   • Contribution to research about addressing the community health needs of
     the Filipino community in Union City and South Alameda County.
   •  As a thank you, we will be giving a $20 gift card to participants.
