AHS Publishes Report on Filipino Health Assessment and Needs

In the spring of 2008, Asian Health Services (AHS) partnered with Filipino Advocates for Justice (FAJ) and launched a health project to identify the primary health concerns for the Filipino community in Union City, California. Supported by a grant from the Tides Foundation Community Clinics Initiative, the Filipino Advocacy and Organizing for Health (FAOH) Project was initiated in direct response to the health disparities in the Filipino community.

Affordable Care Act will "benefit us all"

CEO Appointed to National Health Committee

Asian Health Services CEO Sherry Hirota was appointed to a committee to review and update the criteria used to define medically underserved areas and health professional shortage areas. The committee, formed in July 2010, was provided by the Affordable Care Act.
