"No More Cuts!" Rally
On July 15, health advocates gathered in front of the State Building in Oakland to protest the Governor's proposal to balance the budget with cuts to vital health programs. Concerned about the way these cuts would hurt our patients at AHS, staff and REACH interns joined the gathering to chant "No More Cuts!".

Dr. Ricky Choi appointed to Public Health Council
On Oct. 27, 2009, Dr. Ricky Choi, Dept. Head of Pediatrics, was appointed to a three-year term on the Council on Multicultural Health, an advisory committee in the CA Department of Public Health and Health Care Services. It seeks to develop and improve policies for all communities to access quality health care. Congratulations!
